Can I starts with a laugh? …let’s laugh
together “HAHAHAHAHA”. That’s true! So true! You know it is written with halal
descriptions, it is with the halal stamp from the islamic department, yet you
still choose not to take! It’s like something inside you telling that it is
not good. No qualities. It is better to choose the normal one that you’ve been taking
for the past 20 years. The halal product promoter, equipt with a book from the
ministry and some hadith about halal and haram, YET you still choose to ignore
him. “No! No! …I don’t want to hear your explaination, go away!...I know
better!”
Hmm…the
satan in you is so big! Some of it, hanging at both of your ears to
close it
from the truth and some squeazing your heart to close it from the good.
I’m
pity some of these people. Pray 5 times a day, wores Islamic clothing,
saying that they are muslim BUT so stubborn to even listen just for a
minute. In a way, I am so
glad that ALLAH has open my heart to be curious about halal and haram
in Islam.
I was like those
people before. Still remember how I said to one guy that trying to show to me
his halal gelatine product, “How you know it is halal? You were there when they making it?” …hehe, I will
find all sorts of questions and reasons just to deny that halal product. Whereas I could
have just stop for while and listen to the explainations. No harm done. I don’t
lose anything, but somehow or rather, like I always said, it’s like there is
some voices from somewhere, whispering to me not to listen and find excuses.
Alhamdulillah, those voices has gone and I don’t hear it anymore. Nowadays,
only my heart keep on pumping, making me feel the curiousity about anything whether it is
halal or not.
What about you? Are
you the person who is, know it’s halal but still choose not to take? What’s
wrong with you? hahaha…just joking. So weird isn’t it?! The minute you know
it’s a halal product, straight away you already judging it doesn’t have
qualities. It’s old and bad product or even false product. You come out with
all kind of excuses, reasons for you to push it away. See, how the satan’s work
in you? So small matter yet so big effect.
I don’t really know
how to give advise on this subject but one thing for
sure that I know and have learned all these years is, it’s hard for me to lose my
ego before. So what I do is, I try to be open in anything, open for discussions. Let myself free, listen to
anything that whoever want to say things to me. BUT, I hold on to my halal or
haram knowledge which I get from the Quran and hadith. Slowly, I stop and
listen and learn about what truly is all these halal product. Doesn’t matter food,
cosmetic or even pharmaceutical, you must really ask yourself whether it is
halal or not. Find out where the source came from. Definately you’ll be more
satisfied what you can come out with. Like I always said, you have to… “Be
Alert…Choose Halal!” Insya-ALLAH.
